We went to Konstanz again this weekend to visit some family. Spotted this awesome bike along a walkway.
Check out these cool Fishbunnies. Aren't they cute? We also found a craft store called "Kreativ Point", but it was way too expensive for my taste. Thus, the search continues.
Today, we also drove to Rapperswil and Einsiedeln for a short day trip.
Hubby especially enjoyed the abbey there in Einsiedeln and its statues. Unfortunately, no picture-taking is allowed inside to ensure a place of peace and prayer. It felt so awe-inspiring being inside there and looking at all the craftsmanship.

A Walk Along the Bodensee
We visited some relatives over the weekend who live by the German/Swiss border and took a walk along the promenade by the German side of the Bodensee.
Above is a view from Switzerland from the German side.
Some beautiful buildings along the promenade.
And a filling Fondue dinner a few days later. Yum!

On Swiss Soil
We made it after a 18-hour flight (and much worry on my part whether our 3 cats would survive such a move) in Zurich, Switzerland. We are still jet-lagged but we are trying to normalize our sleeping/eating/waking schedule. We are still getting our stuff situated and exploring our surroundings.
Today was our first foray together using Switzerland's mass transportation system to join a cousin for a hike.
It was so beautiful today, though windy, but still nice to hike. We'll be sleeping like babies tonight, as we are not exactly used to 2-hour hikes. Tomorrow, we'll rent a couple of bikes and bike along the lake.
In the crafts department, I am still trying to find decent craft- and fabric stores, I've got a couple of leads that we'll probably check out next couple of weeks.

Leaving on a Jet plane
In about 48 hours, we'll be embarking on a plane to Switzerland with 3 cats in tow and a bunch of our stuff. I'm so excited, yet scared too. Hubby's been learning some German on the laptop and I am learning with him, because my (swiss) German is extremely rusty, even though it's my mother tongue. Once familiar words and expressions sound strange to me. On the other hand, my English has become my primary language; I even dream in English now, when I used to dream in German. I just hope it'll come back to me once we get there.
We are slowly getting everything ready, from packing luggage to the maximum capacity, buying wall adapters and cleaning up the apartment. Still feels like there is so much to do! I'm always worried we are forgetting something important, so I am checking my list at least four times! Oh, and I finally graduated from college! That's one thing done on my New Year's list! Yay!
Hopefully, internet access won't be to hard to come by over there, so I can update this here bloggy and re-open the shop very soon! :)

This Is What 10 Yards Looks Like...

...all stamped up. And, oh boy, 10 yards quite a distance when stamping! My thumbs are sore! I usually don't print this many yards at time, only about 2-3 yards. Anyway, I love how this custom order turned out. The leaves look so great a thousand times repeated.
This also marks my last custom order before I shut down the store for the big move! I've got most of my crafty tools + supplies packed up and ready to be driven to the port. Apparently, it takes about 40 to 60 days before it gets to Europe! Yikes! Up to 60 days without any craft supplies???!!!! Wahh! However, I am sure I'll find some craft stores when I get there; in fact, that will be the first shopping trip!
ps: Don't forget, my moving sale is still going on until May 21st!

Ouch, my Umbrella

My cute little umbrella broke. I'm sad. It had a lot of potential. I guess I need to carve another, less-breakable one. *sniff*
psst! Moving Sale still going! Help me clear my inventory! :)

All Quiet On The Crafting Front
Been busy packing, planning, studying and selling (thanks to all who have bought so far off and on Etsy!), so crafting has fallen by the wayside. We've been steadily packing things and selling our furniture and other stuff we don't need. We still need to sell our leather couch, so if you are in the Sacramento area and are in need of a couch....
It's weird that we'll be leaving right after my graduation, but I am also very excited! My biggest worry, though, is that our animals get there safely! And my sewing machine! Lol
I'm hoping to sell all my inventory at the etsy store by May 21st, because we'll be shipping our stuff that Friday via boat. I'm hoping to keep the etsy store going, although I imagine I'll focus more on my Dawanda store. We'll see.
So, my Moving Sale is still going on until May 21st! You get 15% off your purchase (refund via PayPal), so tell all your friends! :)

Making Finance Cute

Or at least trying to. Doesn't everything look cuter when you put it in little frames? I'm hoping this will make me remember these crazy finance formulas better for my exams!
